A new campus nursery

The University has run a popular nursery for many years, however our existing nursery building has reached the end of its lifespan. This project will allow us to relocate the provision to another more suitable site on campus and enable the University to provide a purpose built, modern nursery increasing childcare provision on campus for staff, students and local families.

It is anticipated the new building will include extended availability for babies with up to 30 baby places across three baby units, a dedicated toddler room and separate pre-school room.

The plans have changed a little since they were first approved in 2019, with some amendments to the size of the building. However, we are still aiming for a contemporary provision and a green, sustainable development.
