Pippa Cooper is a Research Administrator and the Co-ordinator of the Centre's Human Rights Defender Hub. The Hub is an important new initiative which aims to be a world-leading provider of training and research in relation to human rights defenders (HRDs).
Pippa has a BA in Modern Languages and studied International Development at Massey University in New Zealand. She has a background in project management working mainly for Central Government in NZ in the Department of the Prime Minister & Cabinet and at the Ministry of Justice. Most recently she worked at the Chief Electoral Office on a project to improve access to voting for people with disabilities. Pippa has volunteered for Oxfam, TradeAid and the NZ Refugee and Migrant Service.
