Funding

The University of York has a strong tradition of working in partnership with business to deliver growth.

Using a range of different types of funding we develop effective partnerships that help businesses and other organisations access our research, facilities and expertise to address business challenges.

We can support organisations in carrying out collaborative research. We can also assist in finding external funding sources for work in partnership with the university.

Potential funding sources include:

  • UKRI
    UKRI funds businesses to develop innovative products, processes or services. You can also access expertise and specialist equipment to develop prototypes and products.
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
    Funding available for 12 to 36 months for company-based research projects
  • Innovate UK
    Funding available for company-led research projects
