Funding collaborative research

The University of York has a strong tradition of collaborative research and knowledge exchange.

This work is able to take place through commercial partnerships and through a range of funding opportunities available to organisations from funders from local development groups to EU agencies.

We can support organisations in carrying out collaborative research. We can also assist in finding external funding sources for work in partnership wtih the university.

Potential funding sources include:

Capital Purchases

The Product and Process Innovation (PAPI) project helps small businesses in York, North Yorkshire and East Riding develop innovative new products by providing grants for equipment.

  • 40% grant for equipment that enables innovation and which generates new jobs and growth, up to a maximum grant value of £20k
  • Expert business development support to help develop funding proposals.
  • Guidance and advice available at every step of the application process from an experienced team.
The PAPI project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and delivered by the University of York.
