David Collins

David Smith-Collins is an inspirational Executive Coach, Consultant, Strategist, Leadership Mentor, Trainer, Programme Designer and International Public Speaker. He has two decades of experience as an Executive Coach with considerable experience in working with C level Leaders.

He has trained, coached and mentored at strategic level in Universities in Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, and extensively within the UK in the Universities of Cambridge, Durham, York and Salford.

David has a wealth of corporate relationship management experience in HRD, Strategy Development, Operational Performance Delivery and Change Management. His services are much in demand as a consultant, particularly in support of organisational staff engagement programmes and corporate alignment strategy development.

With over 30 years in Policing his career has involved Strategic Planning, Performance Delivery, Security Management, Risk Management and Disaster Recovery. He is an accomplished strategist.

David has extensive experience of operating at a strategic level in public, private and third sector organisations, both in the UK and internationally, bringing a broad spectrum of knowledge, awareness and expertise across a wide range of subjects and disciplines.

As a Senior Police Officer, he has served on many Police and Security overseas projects including vice and drug investigation in Holland, Juvenile crime diversion in Canada and the United States and Strategic Police Training in Africa. He specialises in strategic Police and Security programmes focusing upon community policing, road casualty reduction, security training, integrated offender management and rehabilitation.

In his previous career, David was promoted to Assistant Chief Constable in North Yorkshire Police and he has served at the rank of Acting Deputy Chief Constable in the UK. He has experience working at UK Ministerial and Government level on a wide range of Police and Security issues.

He is now the CEO and Managing Director of several Training, Coaching, Development and Consultancy Companies with operations within the UK and across the globe. His training, facilitation and public speaking abilities are widely recognised. As an applied psychologist he inspires, motivates and changes lives and organisations for the better.

David is recognised for his excellent training and people skills, strategic change management expertise and motivational abilities. He has expertise in Higher Education, schools and colleges, vocational and executive training and development, the telecommunications industry, the building sector and working with banking and financial institutions.

David is a Law Graduate, a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and he holds an M.A. in coaching and Mentoring and an M.A in Organisational Management and Economics. He has a post graduate diploma in Criminology from Cambridge University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and a member of several coaching and mentoring associations.
