Funding Opportunities

The University of York has a broad knowledge of the skills funding landscape, and often applies for funding to distribute to regional companies.

The training team will make you aware of any relevant funding and provide advice and guidance on the application and eligibility criteria.

Funding is often for small and medium enterprises (SMEs):

• turnover < €50million
• < 250 employees

Business Scale Up Development Programme

The Business Scale Up Programme is here to help support your business growth so you can REALISE your potential through bespoke training and consultancy support.

The Business Scale Up Programme will deliver a programme of training, business coaching and consultancy with 30% funding for businesses in the York, North Yorkshire, East Riding region. This Programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and will be delivered in partnership with YNY Growth Hub Support delivered via this programme is due to end on 23rd November 2023.

Scale Up Consultancy

We are currently offering a range of 1 day, 3 day and 5 day programmes to support your business as part of our Scale Up Consultancy Package. By equipping your teams with the skills and abilities they need to work effectively and sustainably.

Programmes include:-

- Mental health and wellbeing

- Talent mapping

- Embedding innovation

Leadership and Management Programme Accreditation

Some programmes which offer accreditation can be included in funding applications. Delegates must complete the necessary guided learning hours.

Delegates will be asked to complete CMI assignments alongside their learning hours; each assignment involves undertaking and reflecting on a series of tasks within their organisation. Learners will be supported throughout the process and will have access to a range of online resources.
