Colloquium 2023

The next Cemeteries Colloquium will take place on 19th May at the University of York. The deadline for abstracts is 8th May 2023.

Disciplines that are routinely represented include historians, art historians, sociologists, anthropologists, cultural geographers, historical archaeologists, conservators and policy analysts. The Colloquium generally draws international speakers. A key aspect of the meeting is its informality and the time dedicated to question and discussion. This is a highly valuable forum in which to present new and emerging research. Papers are presented in 30-minute slots, and generally comprise a 20-minute presentation leaving time for questions.

Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and should be sent to Dr Julie Rugg, email: julie.rugg@york.ac.uk. Please ensure that the abstract is in Word format. Queries about the event should in the first instance be directed by email to the address given.
