Profile

Biography

I joined the School for Business and Society in February 2021. Before joining York, I was the lecturer in Accounting in University of Reading, Henley business school.

I obtained my BSc in International Accounting from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China. I was awarded the PhD in Accounting from University of Durham. I am currently an ACCA affiliate and before coming to the UK, I have been working in the auditing industry for many years where I established rich experience from providing auditing and consultancy services to national and international companies across different industries.

My research interest mainly focuses on the implication of political connections, family ownership, and other corporate governance issues.

Teaching

I am very experienced in teaching various accounting modules at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels. 

After joining York business school, I have been engaged in delivering various modules including Critical perspectives in Accounting (PG), Advanced Financial Accounting (PG), Financial accounting (UG). Before joining University of York, I have been teaching Audit and assurance and Assurance, Governance & Ethics which are both ICAEW accredited modules in University of Reading.
