Profile

Biography

Dr Andrew Papworth joined the School for Business and Society in 2022 as a Research Associate. Prior to this, he was a Research Fellow at the Martin House Research Centre within the University of York’s Department of Health Sciences (2019-22). Andrew completed his PhD at University College London (UCL) in 2018 and was a Visiting Scholar in the School of Nursing at the University of Virginia in 2017. He completed an MSc in Health Sciences at the University of York in 2013, which was funded by an NIHR Studentship.

Research

Overview

Andrew has conducted mixed-methods research on vulnerable populations in a number of different settings. He is currently working on an NIHR-supported study on the unmet treatment needs of crack users, opiate users and dependent drinkers.
