Technical Assistantship
This post offers an opportunity for acquiring and honing professional skills and for developing new technology initiatives for the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.
You'll be required to work 10-12 hours per week during term time.
Duties include:
- issuing equipment
- preparing rooms for teaching
- maintaining an equipment inventory
- assisting with visiting lectures, lunchtime concerts and other events
Out of term, this assistant may occasionally be needed to help with the repairing and upgrading of equipment and providing assistance as directed by the School Technician.
Open to EU, International (non-EU) and UK (home) students.
Open to students in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.
Applicants should have prior experience with electronic technology, especially audiovisual, and should be capable of efficiently identifying and solving problems (when possible) with such equipment. Expertise in data-projection and related software (SmartBoard, PowerPoint) and DVD authoring is highly desirable.
