Event details

YSTV's 'Fit For Another World: The Legacy of Anne Lister' documents the life and legacy of legendary 18th Century lesbian diarist Anne Lister, and her untold connection to York ahead of the opening of the Anne Lister College at the University of York. Through exclusive interviews with experts in the Lister-field (Sally Wainwright, Helena Whitbread, Anne Choma, Professor Laurie Shannon + many more), the documentary will give you an insight into Anne's life in York and its surrounding areas, and why the naming of the new college is incredibly important to so many.

The evening will begin inside Anne Lister College itself with food and drinks, and will give the audience the chance to chat with the creatives behind the documentary, as well as getting an exclusive look inside the college hub. We will then take a short walk over to the TFTI Department where you will be shown to your seats in the Holbeck Cinema, where we will then screen the documentary.
