First year modules

In the first year, you take modules which introduce you to different aspects of archaeology. During this year you will be exposed to all of the time periods, methods, and theoretical approaches that comprise archaeology, and also to our variety of teaching and assessment methods.

If you have registered for one degree course but find during your studies that your interests are more suited to another, you may change your degree registration at any point during your first year.

Everybody usually takes the same modules regardless of their degree course, with one exception, as those registered for BA in Archaeology and Heritage will normally take 'Heritage Practice' instead of‘Archaeological Excavation’.
