Louisa is the Collections development Manager for the Archaeology Data Service (ADS). Louisa’s role involves the negotiation of access to digital datasets for deposition and she acts as the first point of call for potential depositors. Louisa also takes an active role in external liaison with numerous partners in order to initiate, manage, and deliver externally funded projects.
Louisa has a background working in Local Government Historic Environment Records (HERs), which she did for 13 years before coming to work at the ADS. She also has an interest in archaeological science and took a career break in 2008 to undertake an MSc in Environmental Archaeology and Palaeoeconomy at the University of Sheffield.
Prior to joining the ADS Louisa has worked on a number of projects to digitise and disseminate archaeological information held in HERs, particularly grey literature.
