Our graduating class of 2020 celebrated on Zoom yesterday at a party that included a quiz and some messages from mystery guests

Staff and students came together online yesterday to celebrate the achievements of our graduating class of 2020. Even though we could not be together in person, we were able to celebrate with a Zoom party.

Highlights included a quiz, featuring rounds on archaeology in film and the city of York, along with a staff baby photo round. Despite grumbling from prehistorians about the historical focus, the quiz was high-scoring. The winner was Josh Toplis and you can see the moment of victory in the screen shot above.

We also had video messages from York alumnus, Greg Jenner of Horrible Histories, who brought the fascinating news that in his time there were peacocks at King's Manor, and a cocktail class from our own Steve Roskams.

The party finished with a slide show of images of the graduating class over the course of their three years at York.

Congratulations all of you and we look forward to seeing you at graduation later in the summer!
