Introducing the Heritage York Project

New student society headed by students in the department launches it first initiative: Your Place

Postgraduate students in the Department of Archaeology have recently come together to form the Heritage York Project. Working in collaboration with the public and the greater student body, the Heritage York Project (HYP) aims to promote the shared enjoyment and awareness of cultural heritage interests, through research driven events, exhibition and art.

HYP is now putting out a call for enthusiastic members to join the team, whether you have an idea for an event or are just passionate about the historic environment and want to get involved.

HYP has two events planned during the summer term of studies at York, including a student symposium (details forthcoming), and an end of term exhibition event, showcasing the efforts of our current initiative, the Your Place postcard project’.
