Please join us on Monday 28 October at 5pm for Jo Fletcher's public lecture on Ancient Egypt in Yorkshire. Jo lecture will look at the many - if unexpected - connections between ancient Egypt and Yorkshire. From the origins of British Egyptology to the development of the county’s museum collections, their pioneering role in the development of mummy studies and the earliest connections between the two regions via the Roman Empire, all will be highlighted by Jo’s ongoing research and media projects.
The presentation will take place in Lecture Theatre K/133, King’s Manor followed by a drink’s reception in the Refectory.
