ADS recognised for critical role in research efficiency

The work of York’s Archaeology Data Service features in a new impact case study, published by the AHRC.  The study draws upon work undertaken for JISC in 2012 by digital preservation specialist Neil Beagrie and economist John Houghton from Victoria University.  This concluded that a significant increase in research efficiency was reported by users as a result of using the ADS, worth at least £13 million per annum – five times the costs of operation, data deposit and use.
