1st Annual Student Archaeology Conference

Posted on 16 April 2013

Students at the University of York are organising the 1st Annual Student Archaeology Conference.

16-04-2013 ASA1

This two day event will offer both undergraduate and postgraduate students an unprecedented opportunity to share their innovative research and views on the past with each other and the academic community.

Students at York have established the annual conference to offer a national forum for students of archaeology and related disciplines the opportunity to share work and ideas with like-minded people, thereby breaking down barriers in academia and benefitting the next generation of archaeologists, historians, art historians and other researchers.

The first conference is to be held at the University of York’s Department of Archaeology on the 19th-20th June and is currently accepting:

  • Paper abstracts of up to 500 words outlining potential 20 minute presentations, by April 29th
  • PDF posters of work, if received by May 15th will be printed for free and put on display
