We are excited to announce a new European doctoral training network to create the next generation of artefact scientists. We are looking to recruit 15 exceptional early stage researchers to undertake doctoral training between University of York, the University of Copenhagen, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (Université de Nice Côte d’Azur) along alongside a further 23 associated partners in 9 countries. Researchers will have backgrounds in chemistry, molecular biology and archaeology but will converge on the analysis of prehistoric artefacts from across Europe to provide forensic detail regarding their origin, manufacture and use.

The doctoral students will all start in October 2021. Please take a look and fill in the expression of interest form if you think you meet the criteria.
