20-04-2015 Henson New Book

The department is very pleased to announce the release of "Archaeology Hotspot Great Britain", authored by our own PhD researcher Don Henson, and published by Alta Mira Press (an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield in the United States).

A fascinating review of the archaeology of Great Britain, Don's book covers the deep archaeology of this long-settled island — from early hominid remains through to the modern world — as well as Great Britain’s role in the larger archaeological realm.

The Archaeology Hotspots series offers reader-friendly and engaging narratives of the archaeology of particular countries. Each book in the series focuses on what has been found in a specific context and by whom; the associated controversies and scandals related to the archaeological record; ongoing projects; and how--together--this fits into a broader view of the history of the country.
