York undergrad wins competition via her class blog

Toy Gallery

Third year BA in Historical Archaeology student Florence Laino has won a competition hosted by NYBEP and York Museums Trust to design and curate a new feature for the York Castle Museum's Toy Gallery exhibition.

Flo entered the competition to tie in with her blog design project for the Visual Media in Archaeology Special Topic module, using her blog space to discuss ideas about archaeological curation in museums. She has been given £2,000 to implement her idea - an interactive tour for children - which will be installed this coming January 2013.
