A warm welcome to Michelle Mundee and Sara Perry who join us from the start of this term.

Michelle is our new Lecturer in Bioarchaeology and is based in BioArCh. Michelle's PhD was on diet and society in medieval Spain, examining the difference between Christian and Muslim populations using stable isotopes. She has previously worked in Durham, Aberdeen and Cornell.

Sara is Lecturer in Cultural Heritage Management and her office is on the top floor of the Feilden building. Her PhD was on the foundation of the Institute of Archaeology at London and its links to the strategic use of visual media. She comes to York from the University of Southampton, where she was working on a British Academy-funded project on the Alan Sorrell archive, and on the EU funded Visualisation in Archaeology (VIA) project.A bit more information about Sara's teaching and research priorities can be found on her blog – saraperry.wordpress.com – and via her Twitter feed – @archaeologistsp.
