Friday 14 June 2019, 3.00PM to 6:00pm
Join us to celebrate the Department of Archaeology turning 40! On the afternoon of Friday 14th we will have an exhibition (titled "Things of Archaeology"), followed by a family picnic. The exhibition will feature objects and images from current staff members that illustrate their experience of Archaeology at York. Staff were encouraged to reflect on the meaning of the object and describe their experiences. Our hope is that the exhibition will demonstrate the vibrant community in the department and the intellectual curiosity of its members. Afternoon tea will be served at a picnic in the rear courtyard, with activities for children. This event will take place in a venue that is fully accessible. This event is free, but you will need a ticket to gain entry.
Location: Kings Manor Common Room (Exhibition) and Courtyard outside Kings Manor (picnic)
Admission: Free, but ticket required
