Postgraduate Archaeology Taster Afternoon

Thinking about a Masters in Archaeology? Join staff and students from Department of Archaeology at the University of York's Historic King's Manor between 2 pm and 3.30 pm on Wednesday 21 June for our PG Archaeology Taster Afternoon.

The department offers a variety of courses delivered by scholars with a breadth of expertise, giving students the opportunity to develop vocational skills in Archaeology and heritage, and further their understanding of a range of techniques and historical periods. The Taster Afternoon gives you the opportunity to get to know York Archaeology and decide if it's right for you.

What to expect

• Meet and ask questions to a range of Programme Directors
• Explore King's Manor, the historic home of Archaeology at York (conveniently located near York Station)
• Speak to current postgraduate students in the department
• Ask questions about postgraduate study and life at York

Dr Lara González Carretero of the Department of Archaeology has been named as a recipient of a 2023 Trail-Crisp award from the Linnean Society of London for groundbreaking research in archaeobotany.
