Ceramics discussion group

3D reconstruction of a medieval Italo-Netherlandish Maiolica Ware Jug by Kit Ackland

Tuesday 24 May 2022, 12.30PM to 13:30

Speaker(s): Dr Richard McClary will give a presentation on: ‘Archaeology & Art History: Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Study of Medieval Ceramics from Iran’.

The aim of the Ceramics Discussion Group is to bring together staff, post-grad and undergraduate students who have a shared interest in the study of pottery in the past. We want to provide a space where researchers at York who are studying different regions, time-periods, using diverse methods and theoretical approaches can meet to share ideas, troubleshoot issues, and discuss new developments in our broad field.

Location: K/G84

Admission: The group is open to all University of York staff and students, although it is aimed at those within archaeology and adjacent disciplines. To join via Zoom, please email Lizzie Hicks (erh536@york.ac.uk).
