Ceramics discussion group

Speaker(s): Dr Gareth Perry will give a presentation on ‘Petrographic Approaches to Archaeological Ceramics,’ focusing specifically on what can be achieved using the facilities and equipment we have in the department.

The aim of the Ceramics Discussion Group is to bring together staff, post-grad and undergraduate students who have a shared interest in the study of pottery in the past. We want to provide a space where researchers at York who are studying different regions, time-periods, using diverse methods and theoretical approaches can meet to share ideas, troubleshoot issues, and discuss new developments in our broad field.

Admission: The group is open to all University of York staff and students, although it is aimed at those within archaeology and adjacent disciplines.
