Getting to York Campus

York is lucky in that it is quite central within the United Kingdom. You may fly into airports in Manchester, London, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and even Edinburgh, and then travel easily by train to York station, near the city centre. We cannot improve on the webpage provided by the university's Economics Department for all sorts of information and further details about travelling to York: link to Economics travel information

The University of York is about 15 minutes to the east of York city centre.
The conference will be held in Vanbrugh College ('Vanbrugh College' on the campus map , which also shows the nearby bus stop (B) on University Road).
Accomodation is in Alcuin College ('Alcuin College' on the campus map, and Multimap ).

The conference information desk, where you will register and can ask any questions, will be in the Foyer of Vanbrugh College (see location Key Collection).

You may take a taxi from the train station, but there is also the No. 4 bus from the train station to campus, which is a good, frequent service ( link to timetable ). There are also other bus services to the university campus (see bus section of Economics link above)

You may wish to wander around the city centre at some point during your visit. We highly recommend at least a visit to the Minster and walking around the city walls.
