Event details

You are invited to join a small gathering of University of York alumni at the Getty Center in Brentwood, Los Angeles for a docent-led viewing of the highly anticipated and Featured Exhibition Michelangelo: Mind of the Master. This exhibition explores the full range of his work as a painter, sculptor, and architect through more than two dozen of his extraordinary drawings, including designs for celebrated projects such as the Sistine Chapel ceiling, the Medici Chapel tombs, and The Last Judgment.

After the tour the group is invited to a light lunch at The Getty Center followed by a ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour led by our Alumni Host Thomas Roby (MA Conservation Studies, Class of 1987), Senior Project Specialist at the J. Paul Getty Trust.

Please note, this event is for University of York alumni only. Places are strictly limited for this small, exclusive event and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. For parking and transportation, please click here.

We look forward to seeing you.
