Who are we?

York Global Alumni Association is the official alumni group for the University of York. You are considered to be an alumnus or alumna of the University if you have graduated from the University. We also oversee the fundraising and philanthropy arm of the University known as York Unlimited.

Essential jargon

When you have graduated, you are officially a York alum. But what does that mean? What’s the difference between an alumna and alumni?
Here’s a quick guide:
Alumna – a female graduate
Alumnus – a male graduate
Alum – a graduate (not gender-specific)
Alumni – more than one graduate

Networks are an opportunity to make contacts in the sector that interests you, or to get some professional advice; for those already working, it’s an opportunity to expand your network and develop your business; and for those further along in their career, it’s an opportunity to give something back to the next generation of York graduates.
