A reminder to ensure efficiency and compliance

To avoid unnecessary admin burden and potential compliance risks, please make sure you are following the correct procedures when engaging casual staff.

Casual Worker Registration

Please only ask individuals to register on Dashboard once they have been formally offered work.

There is a financial cost associated with conducting "right to work" checks, which is why we only want to perform these appointments for individuals who have casual work lined up.

Dashboard Bookings

It's crucial that all casual work is booked on Dashboard before the work commences. In addition to the Dashboard booking, you should also issue a job-specific letter of engagement to the worker.

We've seen a significant increase in retrospective booking requests over the past few months. This creates additional administrative burden as well as potential compliance risks. Please ensure everyone in your department is fully aware of the correct procedure so that administrators can create Dashboard bookings in advance of the work starting.
