Guidance for managing the end of the employment relationship

The new leavers policy applies to all staff who leave the University, whether this is through resignation, retirement or dismissal. The aim of the policy is to ensure that each exit is undertaken lawfully, with dignity and with minimum risk to the University.

The leavers policy guides managers and staff through all the tasks required for the employment relationship to end. The policy brings together all the essential processes in one place including: HR activity, the return of university property (or where retention of property is acceptable) and the withdrawal of IT and data access.
