Session for those who won’t physically experience menopause but who wish to increase their awareness and support others

Menopause not only impacts the individuals who experience it personally but also colleagues, friends and family members who experience it second hand.

This session is specifically designed for men, or anyone who identifies as male, to gain an understanding of menopause so that they are able to better support family, friends and colleagues through this phase of their life.

Menopause has historically been a taboo subject but by increasing your own awareness you can have a strong positive impact on the people in your personal and professional life.

Did you know that there is such a thing as the male menopause? It is called andropause and the session will also provide information about this.

The webinar will take place on 16 March at 3.30pm. There will be 30 minutes of information sharing, followed by 30 minutes for Q and As. If you feel uncomfortable asking questions at the session, please email Kirsty Dixon, kirsty.dixon@york.ac.uk, at least 2 days in advance and she will answer anonymously during the session.
