New resources to encourage ongoing dialogue amongst the University community about race equality and racism.

The Equality and Diversity Team have pulled together resources to encourage a better understanding of racism, structural inequalities and issues that affect people of colour, both within society and higher education, with the intention that all members of the University community can continue to combat racism and better support those who experience it.

The new web resources provide information on:

  • The University's response to the Black Lives Matter movement
  • The Staff Race Equality Forum (SREF)
  • How to be a white ally
  • How to speak up and report racism

You can also find a wealth of information to continue your self education, with recommendations on podcasts, books, videos as well as materials by University of York Staff.
