A response by the University of York on 2018 valuation proposals
The USS Trustee recently consulted with participating institutions via Universities UK (UUK) on its proposals for a valuation it is carrying out as at 31 March 2018. The response submitted by the University's Chair of Council can be read here:

The 2018 valuation is being undertaken by the USS Trustee following feedback from UUK that the majority of USS employers were supportive of the Joint Expert Panel (JEP) recommendations, which were not included in the 31 March 2017 valuation. USS has recently written to members about the outcomes of the 2017 valuation, which include the withdrawal of the 1% employer match and the phased increase of both member and employer contributions between April 2019 and April 2020.
