First phase of candidate pool goes live from 28 October

From 28 October 2019 we will be inviting individuals to join the University of York candidate pool, which will initially include:

  • Candidates who have already been interviewed at grade 4 and assessed as appointable within the last six months
  • Grade 4 and 5 staff that are subject to redeployment

Recruiting managers will be asked after interviewing to identify appointable candidates, who will then be invited to join the pool.

The candidate pool will provide recruiting managers with access to high quality talented candidates without the need to advertise more widely.

We anticipate that the Candidate pool will reduce the delay in appointing a candidate and save considerable time shortlisting applications. In addition the candidate pool will provide a better candidate experience allowing us to approach strong candidates with roles they may have previously missed.

We hope to be able to provide recruiting managers with access to the candidates towards the end of November, this will be through the usual Vacancy Request Form.
