Progress on system procurement and next steps

Following some successful supplier demos in July, the project team submitted their proposal for a new service to manage casual workers to the University Executive Board (UEB) in August.

UEB approved the proposal in principle, pending final confirmation of funding for the project later this term.

What happens next?

We're currently concluding the procurement process for a system to support the new service, and we expect to sign a contract with our preferred supplier, Dashboard Technology, by the end of October.

We'll then move into a discovery phase to define the policies, processes and system configuration that will support the new service.

Stay up-to-date

Feedback at the supplier demos showed that there is broad support across departments and faculties for a central service for managing casuals. However, some departments raised concerns which we flagged to UEB as risks that will be managed by the project team.

We are planning ways in which stakeholders can help us address these issues and give us feedback on the project. We'll be telling you more about this in November.
