Staff whose work is all or mostly during the night should be offered an annual health assessment to assess any impact of health and wellbeing.
The process is the same for health screening for new employees but these subsequent offers are optional. The offer of a health screening appointment should be offered every year from their start date.
Manager's should offer the option of a health assessment and keep a record of these offers. If a staff member wishes to take up this offer the manager should complete the health screening requirements form for the post, stipulating on the form that it is for a repeat night worker assessment and ask the employee to complete a health screening questionnare.
Once the form is received, Occupational Health will assess if an in-person appointment is required.
