Trade unions

The University recognises three trade unions:

Joint Negotiation and Consultation Committee

The Joint Negotiation and Consultation Committee aims to enhance effective communication throughout the University to achieve greater participation and involvement of all members of staff.

Joint Negotiating Sub-Committee on the Modification of the Pension Fund

Recommendations for alterations and additions to the rules are made to the Directors of the University of York Pension Trust by a Joint Negotiating Sub-Committee.

Employee Engagement Advisory Group

The main purpose of the Employee Engagement Advisory Group is to assess levels of employee engagement, provide input and feedback on employee engagement initiatives, and monitor progress with action plans in response to the staff survey.
