Planning Committee


Terms of Reference

On behalf of Senate:

1. Oversee the University's planning and associated budgeting arrangements

2. Approve budget targets for academic departments and central support services through the planning process for approval by the UEB

3. Make recommendations to the UEB regarding the allocation of strategic development funds

4. Keep under review the University's range of disciplines/departments and their strategies, in the context of the University Strategy

5. Develop and maintain oversight of an overall strategy for the physical development of the campus and its built environment

6. Annually recommend to UEB and Council a capital programme

7. Receive reports from the Capital Management Group on the financial situation and building progress in relation to specific estates projects

8. Consider and make recommendations on any matter of strategy or policy referred to it by Senate or UEB or any other body

9. Annually recommend proposed tuition fee changes to UEB for approval.
