In accordance with CUC/Audit guidance and University policies, members of staff and lay members of University committees are invited to complete the following declarations. New declarations are to be made annually in advance of each academic year, and updated as and when circumstances change.
1. Declaration of Interests
Please register any pecuniary, family (spouse, partner or close family members) or other personal interest in matters relating to the business of the University and its subsidiary companies and give appropriate consideration to the potential conflict of interest in membership of any body external to the University.
a) Senior Departmental staff, including those who can influence procurement decisions or feel that they have a conflict of interest or related party relationship (Registers maintained within academic departments/support directorates)
b) Members of Council, lay members of University Committees, University Executive Board and Operations Group (Register maintained within the Registrar & Secretary’s Office)
2. Declaration of Gifts and Hospitality
Members of the University should not accept gifts or hospitality which might reasonably be interpreted as an inducement to show favour to a person or organisation. Please refer to the section on Hospitality and Gifts within the University’s Anti-Bribery policy at https://www.york.ac.uk/staff/finance/
