Online MPA: April 2012
Campus MPA: October 2012
The York MPA is available via mixed modes of delivery. It is therefore possible to study the programme wholly online, or exclusively at the campus, or to take a combination of the two. Students can for example, come to York to attend the campus-based programme for one term (10 weeks), study full time and then return to work to complete the rest of the programme online. Equally, it is also possible to begin the programme online, and then opt to come to York to take a number of modules at the campus.
Although the York MPA offers the opportunity to study flexibly, the curriculum remains consistent regardless of which mode of study students elect to follow. Unlike many distance-based programmes, the online degrees on offer at York are not externally regulated and are instead a core part of the institutional offering.

Teaching on the online programmes is provided by a combination of online tutorials, group work and discussions. If you opt for the campus-based programme (or a combination of online and campus-based study), you will also attend lectures. All teaching is enhanced through the use of case study analysis, practical exercises and work-based problem solving.
