Football Leagues
The Sports & Recreation Service football leagues provides regular competitive football for all levels of ability. We currently run lunchtime staff/student leagues, and the Sport & Rec. Fives league on Wednesday evenings.

Staff/Student 5-a-side league (indoor)
The indoor lunchtime 5-a-side league is our oldest league starting way back in 1971.
The league normally runs every Autumn & Spring term.
Staff/Student 6-a-side league (outdoor on JLD Astroturf pitch)
This league is played from week 4 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays every term through the academic year.
Games are played at 1pm on each of the match days and are 40 minutes in duration (20 mins each way).
Cost for entry is only £35 per team with a guaranteed 5 matches it works out really good value especially if you have a squad of ten players. The top 2 teams from each day will go through to the quarter finals then semis and final if you go all the way!
Entries for the leagues are taken during the first week of term together with a registration fee.
Sport & Rec. Fives Leagues
New teams are always welcome. The next new leagues will start 31 October 2011.
The Sports & Recreation Service invites you to join our successful and highly enjoyable Corporate League. With small sided football being so popular now is a great time to get involved with one of the areas longest serving leagues. The fantastic purpose built indoor 5-a-side venue is the perfect arena for playing and with rebound boards which result in continuous play 30 minute games give you the perfect match duration.
