The academic year at York is split into three terms of 10 weeks each.
Visiting Students can come to York for one, two or three terms. For one term students, it is possible to start in October or January. Two term students can study from October-March or January-June. Full-year students are at York from October-June.
Accommodation is usually available from the Sunday before the start of term.
In the first week we had a lot of informational meetings to get to know the University as well as our supervisors and the contact person in the International Office. This was really helpful because it was clear, that if any problem occurred, there would be someone to help, which is especially useful if one is from a different country.Janina, Germany
