A free service for current and prospective members of the University community, their immediate families and academic visitors. Advice can be given on entry clearance procedures; visa renewals; working during and after study; changing programmes and police registration.

International representation

International students are represented within College Welfare Teams, the Graduate Students’ Association, the Students’ Union and the International Students’ Association.

International Student Support

The Co-ordinator can be contacted about any issue relating to international student welfare and will signpost students to appropriate University departments when necessary. Email: international-support@york.ac.uk

York Ambassadors Scheme

The International Team in Student Recruitment and Admissions can try to put prospective students in touch with a current or former student from their home country. Through this link new students are able to find out about the York student experience.
