International Engagement

Support for international engagement is provided by a number of central offices at York and coordinated by the International Relations Office.

These pages explain which central offices are involved in setting up partnerships and agreements with universities abroad, and provide information for staff on some of the funding opportunities available.

Developing an International Partnership - there are 3 levels of international partnerships - personal, departmental and institutional. Most personal links will not require support however advice from experienced overseas staff and guidance on funding opportunities is available.

International Seedcorn Awards - International Seedcorn Awards aim to stimulate innovative and sustainable international collaborations in research and teaching with one or more institutions abroad.

Worldwide Universities Network Research Development Fund - which aims to encourage international research collaboration.

WUN Research Mobility Programme - encourages personal and academic development of individuals, primarily, early in their research careers, to equip them with the skills needed for future international academic success.

Funding Sources (Internal access only) - A number of external organisations such as research councils provide funding for international research. Further funding is also available internally.
