If studying on one of our full online Masters programmes does not suit your needs, it is possible to study a single module on its own as a short course. The options available are:
To enrol for a single module as a stand-alone short course. You would get the full benefits of studying the ten-week module, including all module materials, discussion forums and tutorial support. You would not be required to complete the end of module assignment although you would be welcome to do so in order to consolidate your learning.
To enrol for a single module in order to achieve credits that can be put towards the full programme at a later stage. For this option you would need to complete and pass the end of module assignment. (A maximum of two modules can be taken on this basis and the credits achieved can be accredited towards the full Masters in line with our policies on the accreditation of prior learning).
Certain modules within our programme are particularly suitable for studying as stand-alone short courses. These are:
Modules are available to start in September and April each year.
The cost of a single module studied on its own as a short course is currently £1,000. This includes a 2 week Induction module to provide orientation and preparation.
As well as individual study on modules as stand-alone short courses, it is also possible for modules to be offered to groups from within the same organisation. This offers benefits in having colleagues work together, perhaps from different parts of the organisation who would not normally have the opportunity to study together. It also enables sharing of experience across the organisation without the time away from work that traditional courses involve.
Corporate pathways can also be arranged, with groups of employees taking a specific set of modules tailored to their organisation’s needs.
