Professor Ulla M Holm
Professor Ulla M Holm
(PhD, BA) holds a five-year professorship in ‘feminist theory’ at the
Department of Gender Studies, Goeteborg University (UGOT), Sweden. She has
taught and constructed disciplinary and interdisciplinary courses at undergraduate, Masters and PhD levels in philosophy, humanities, gender
studies and ethics, and led several series of interdisciplinary PhD
seminars. She also lectures extensively on basic concepts in gender
studies, feminist ethics, politics and praxis in different contexts in the
Nordic countries as well as in Paris, Vienna, Zürich, Moskva, Riga and
Barcelona and initiated the Nordic Network for Women in Philosophy (NWIP) in
1991. Professor Holm also serves as an expert on research council and state
committees, cooperates in several national and international networks and is
in charge of the eleventh symposium of the Internationalen Assoziation von
Philosophinnen (IAPh) on the topic ‘Human good’ (2004).
Professor Holm has written
and edited volumes on feminist theory and praxis; feminist ethics; and
women’s thinking. Her most recent edited publication is O m samtal: en
nordisk antologi (2002).
