Laura
Viñuela Suárez
Researcher
Laura Viñuela-Suárez has a degree in History and Musical Sciences and has
attended the Women's Studies Doctorate Programme at the University of
Oviedo. In that same institution she has done a postgraduate course on
"Social and Labour Relationships from a Gender Perspective". She has worked
as a researcher in other EU projects: "Employment and Women's Studies: the
Impact of Women's Studies on Women's Employment in Europe" and "PROMOCIONA:
Sistemas locales de igualdad de oportunidades", in the stream "Social
Inclusion of disabled women". She has participated in several national and
international conferences and gives training on equal opportunities, media,
violence and music from a gender perspective. She has recently published a
book on musicology, gender and popular music: "La perspectiva de género y la
música popular: dos nuevos retos para la musicología".
