Welcome to the EducEight website

The EducEight group is an international network of eight researchers working in the areas of educational studies/sciences and the sociology of education. We share research interests in educational pathways, educational inequalities, theories in the sociology of education and in educational research methods and methodology. Our network was established in August 2006 and became EducEight in 2008.

We organise international workshops in our areas of interest. Our events provide an opportunity for discussion of key theoretical, empirical and methodological questions in educational sciences and the sociology of education.

We are very excited to announce our sixth annual event is now open for proposals! Ethnicity and Education: Old Issues, New Insights will take place at Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, 4 - 6 July 2012. Please see the separate website for further details.
