NEW TECHNOLOGIES ARE ONLY EFFECTIVE IN THE NHS WHEN WELCOMED BY WORKERS. New research by Professor Ann Blandford (UCL) and Professor Peter Lunt (Brunel) shows that new technologies have the capacity to improve aspects of the NHS, particularly with regard to efficiency and communication, but only where they are designed to fit within existing working practices at the individual and team level.
