The University's Publication Scheme is a guide to the information the University publishes, or intends to publish routinely as part of its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act. The Publication Scheme describes:
- the categories of information available
- the format in which the information can be obtained
- how to obtain the information, and
- whether any charges apply

Guidance for Staff 
The Freedom of Information Act, which provides a general right of access to all the information held by the university, its subsidiaries and agents, came into full effect in January 2005.
- A guide to handling and processing individual FOI enquiries is available and sits over further guidance which explains each step in detail for easy reference
- FOI and DP news and developments: relevant case law, judgements and guidance from the Information Commissioner
- Guidance on FOI in relation to committee papers and servicing is now available - with an overview of the process for the approval, release and storage of University committee minutes.
